About The Cause
One defining statement of Sustainable Development Goal #4 states:
By 2030, substantially increase the supply of qualified teachers, including through international cooperation for teacher training in developing countries, especially least developed countries and small island developing states.
As a person who always wake up and going to schools as a normal routine, somehow we forgot that this is a massive precious gift. We invite you, to not only volunteer to let them learn from you, but also let yourself learn from them as well.
We believe that youth opinion shapes the world. In 2015, we launched the YouthSpeak survey to understand young voices globally. Now we're taking that insight and applying it to the Sustainable Development Goals. AIESEC has launched Youth For Global Goals, an initiative designed to shape what we do around what the world needs.
Young people have ambition and insight that can change the world, so we're going to let it.
We believe in the power of youthful ambition.
SDG #4 QUALITY EDUCATION
Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all
Since 2000, there has been enormous progress in achieving the target of universal primary education. The total enrolment rate in developing regions reached 91 percent in 2015, and the worldwide number of children out of school has dropped by almost half.
There has also been a dramatic increase in literacy rates, and many more girls are in school than ever before. These are all remarkable successes.
THE GLOBAL GOALS

YOUTH TAKING ACTION OF THE CAUSE
Making a differnce
I will break the cycle of poverty
through education.Annabelle Chauncy
Founder, School for Life, Uganda
BA '07 LLB '10When Annabelle Chauncy moved from NSW’s southern highlands to Sydney to start her Bachelor of Arts/Law in 2004, it seemed like a big move.
But her next move was enormous. In 2008 Annabelle founded a non-profit organisation called School for Life Foundation that operates in Uganda and enables more than 500 students to access high-quality education. Annabelle's 2015 Medal of the Order of Australia and NSW Young Woman of the Year honour are just two of her growing awards of recognition and accomplishment
I will defend people who
cannot defend themselves.Kathleen Heath
Fulbright Scholar and lawyer
BEcSocSc '11 LLB(Hons) '14Kathleen Heath aspires to work as a criminal defence lawyer and to lead criminal law reform, seeing these ambitions as complementary. Graduating in 2014, she believes her role of criminal advocate gives her access to clients’ deeply personal stories, and reveals the bigger stories that need to be told – the deep imperfections and systemic failures of society and the criminal justice system. Kathleen has worked with leading law practitioners, academics and advocacy organisations and continues to volunteer at the Wayside Chapel, a community centre serving providing support to the marginalised in the community, including those affected by mental illness, substance abuse or homelessness
